G. Albert Wolfe, having graduated from Clemson University, enrolled in the U.S. army, where he later retired with a rank of colonel. Soon after, he started work with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT).

Billy E. Huskey began his career for the SCDOT in the engineering department at a young age. He gained a knowledge and love of the surveying field through his 13 years of experience with the highway department. During his tenure with the highway department, Billy completed a course in surveying at Clemson University in 1965. In 1972, he also obtained a certificate in surveying and layout from Spartanburg technical college.

Having worked together in the engineering department of the SCDOT for many years, the two collaborated their passion for surveying and the rest, as they say, is history.
